Notice Regarding Submerce Compatibility with Mac OSX

To whom it may concern:

We'd like to remind our customers that Submerce has been checked for compatibility with Snow Leopard and Safari 5.1.4, but we have not completed compatibility testing with any other configuration available to Mac OSX. Therefore, in order for your computer to remain compatible with Submerce and avoid incurring undocumented or unforeseen issues, we do not recommend completing any upgrades without first contacting Submerce.

Current recommended configurations for both Mac and Windows operating systems are as follows:

Macintosh
Operating System: Mac OSX Snow Leopard, Tiger
Browser: Safari 5.1.4 (or earlier)

Windows
Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7
Browser: Internet Explorer v7, v9 (not v8)

IMPORTANT: Utilizing non-compatible internet browsers is not advised and will be done at your own risk.

These guidelines are provided in order to ensure the proper operation of the Submerce back-office and a smooth user experience. Our shopping cart is compatible with all the latest browser versions, both Mac and Windows.

To better serve our 100-plus million active customers, PayPal is migrating our data center on April 19, 2012. We're confident that this move will not only improve our service, but also better meet the growing demands of our partners and customers. During this migration, PayPal.com and the majority of its services will be unavailable for approximately one hour starting at 9:00 PM PDT on April 19, 2012.

Your customers will experience service interruptions and/or intermittent delays in processing transactions that use the PayPal checkout flow. In addition, they may be unable to log in to the PayPal system to check their PayPal account status, including verification of payments received. After the upgrade, customers will be able to use PayPal as they normally would.

The PayPal Systems Board and The PayPal Blog provided customers and merchants with advanced notice of the planned outage and updated information about the status of the PayPal system during the migration.

Mail Server Hosting - Deadline & Service Fees Announcement

Greetings from Submerce Support,

As a current subscriber of the Mail Server hosted by Submerce, please be advised that our hosting policies have changed:

- Submerce will no longer offer mail server hosting, effective 01/10/2012
- Mail Server hosting will be turned off on 01/10/2012. Please make arrangements for a new mail server to be configured for your domain and confirm that it is running properly prior to that date.
- Clients who wish to continue to use our mail server for email hosting will incur a $25 per month service fee for hosting. Support for mail server configuration and maintenance will be billed at 2012 technical support rates.

In order to assist you with this change, we've written the following Knowledge Base articles for your reference, which are available by logging into our support portal: Mail Server Requirements, Mail Server Settings and Configuring a GoDaddy Mail Server(Optional)
